Mayoral Academic Scholarship 2024/25

The Port Stephens Mayoral Academic Scholarship Program gives local students starting TAFE or University the opportunity to receive a $2,000 scholarship to help cover the cost of their studies.

This is a valued partnership between Council and local businesses to support our next generation of business and industry leaders in Port Stephens.

The investment of one scholarship from a local business makes a big difference to a young person setting out on the next stage of their academic journey. Whether it is a year’s worth of textbooks, a laptop computer or student accommodation — this contribution goes a long way to support local students and encourage life-long learning.

To submit your application, you will need to complete the electronic application form as well as submitting the below supporting documentation:

• An up-to-date resume
• Two written character references
• A copy of your HSC results as issued by the Board of Studies 
• Your “Letter of Offer” from University/TAFE
